Green Room Educator

Melody ( who also goes by Melo) started working at The Nest in 2017 after receiving a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from The University of Georgia.

Melo is interested in the developing cognitive stages from infancy to toddlerhood. She specializes in sensory play, where she finds the connections made between children and natural / repurposed materials an intentional learning tool in the classroom. 

Storytelling and ASL (American Sign Language) are other teaching tools she utilizes in the classroom as forms of communication. 

Melo is currently working towards a Masters in the Writing and Digital Communications Program at Agnes Scott College; she will graduate in the Spring of 2022.
