Admissions
The school is currently at full enrollment and maintains a wait list for all classes. Any spots that become available during the year will be filled from the wait list. Families wishing to place their name on the wait list should submit The Nest Wait List Application online. The waitlist comes with a $50 application fee which can be paid via check or cash. Please know though that the wait list is fairly long at this point, at about 50 families per class. In any given school year we may accept as few as five or ten new students in all classes. Feel free to contact us with questions on placement or availability.
Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year
Registration for the 2023- 2024 school year begins in January 2023. After the re-enrollment of in-house families is completed, available spots will be filled from the wait list. If spaces remain after the wait list has been exhausted, enrollment applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The non-refundable Registration Fee ($300) must be paid at the time of registration in order to secure a spot for the upcoming fall. The first day of the 2023-2024 school year will be August 1, 2023, but please be flexible! Dates may change as we try to align with Atlanta Public Schools.
The Wait List
The wait list carries over from year to year, so there is no need to reapply if your child is not enrolled during the current school year. If your child is on the wait list, you will be notified annually in January via email to update wait list information. Failure to respond to the request for updated information at this time will result in your removal from the wait list.
To place your child on the wait list, please submit The Nest Wait List Application online. You will also need to submit a $50 check to hold your waitlist spot. A reminder that we have an extensive waitlist, so getting on as early as possible is beneficial. Contact us with any questions.
Visiting The Nest
We only offer in-person tours after a spot has been offered. Please check out our virtual tour in the meantime.
General Admissions Policies
The school year generally runs from the first or second week in August through the next-to-the-last week of July. Spaces that become available during the school year will be filled from the wait list. If no wait list exists, the school will advertise open spaces through Facebook, newsletters, and on its website. The school will have advance registration for the following school year in January/February of each year.
The Nest Nursery School seeks to serve those families needing full-time care and priority will be given to those families. Currently, enrolled children and their siblings will have first priority for available spots for the following school year. All schedules, fees, and tuition are based on full-day care. The school does not offer a half-day or part-time program.
All families must sign an acknowledgment form, which will outline their responsibilities to the school and the school’s responsibilities to the family. All admission and enrollment forms must be completed and accounts must be current prior to your child’s first day of attendance and/or the first day of the new school year.
The school retains the right to make decisions regarding enrollment and classroom makeup and placement based on the needs of individual children and/or the larger school community.
Upon enrollment to The Nest Nursery School, it is the responsibility of the parents to keep the school informed of any changes in personal information, including but not limited to, phone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses and place of employment.
