Substitute Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum for young children
- Support other teachers in daily care and education
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a structured and organized learning environment
- Provide personal care to children, such as diapering, feedings, and safe sleeping arrangements
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning community
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with young children is preferred
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive and productive learning environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and colleagues
Schedule:
- The Nest is open Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
- Substitutes will be contacted on an as-needed basis by full-time teachers who need coverage in the classroom between these hours
- Substitutes are able to accept or deny hours based on their own schedules

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.00 – $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week, based on need and availability
