The Nest Waitlist
To place your child on the waitlist, please submit The Nest Wait List Application online. You will also need to submit a $100 fee. There is a link to pay this fee upon completion of the application. There is no need to reapply yearly if you do not get a spot at the school. Your child’s waitlist application will automatically move to the next class yearly. If you are submitting a waitlist application for a sibling currently enrolled or already on the waitlist, you do not need to submit another fee. Any spots that become available during the year will be filled from the waitlist.
Please note that the waitlist is long for all classes. The infant class has the longest list, with over 50 families. The older classes have between 30 and 50 families. In any given school year we may accept as few as five to ten new families in all classes due to sibling enrollment.
Your placement on the waitlist is not the only criteria we consider when offering spots. We also look at a child’s birth date, gender, and application questionnaire. The waitlist will determine the order in which we review applications, but we may pass people based on these factors.
The waitlist is updated yearly. We will send out an update request via email at the beginning of each calendar year ahead of the following school year’s registration. If you do not reply to this email, we will assume you are no longer interested in our school, and we will remove you from the waitlist.
Visiting The Nest
We only conduct in-person tours after a spot has been offered. Please check out our virtual tour in the meantime.
Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year begins in early 2025. After the re-enrollment of in-house families is completed, available spots will be filled from the waitlist. If spaces remain after the waitlist has been exhausted, enrollment applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The non-refundable Registration Fee ($400) must be paid at the time of registration in order to secure a spot for the upcoming fall. The first day of the 2025-2026 school year will be August 1, 2025, but please be flexible! Dates may change as we try to align with Atlanta Public Schools.
General Admissions Policies
The school year generally runs from the first or second week in August through the next-to-the-last week of July. Spaces that become available during the school year will be filled from the waitlist. If no waitlist exists, the school will advertise open spaces through Facebook, newsletters, and on its website. The school will have advance registration for the following school year in February/March of each year.
Currently-enrolled children and their siblings will have first priority for available spots for the following school year. All schedules, fees, and tuition are based on full-day care. The school does not offer a half-day or part-time program.
All families must sign an acknowledgment form, which will outline their responsibilities to the school and the school’s responsibilities to the family. All admission and enrollment forms must be completed and accounts must be current prior to your child’s first day of attendance and/or the first day of the new school year.
The school retains the right to make decisions regarding enrollment and classroom makeup and placement based on the needs of individual children and/or the larger school community.
Upon enrollment to The Nest Nursery School, it is the responsibility of the family to keep the school informed of any changes in personal information, including but not limited to, phone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses and places of employment.
