First Step – Tour Our School

At The Nest Nursery School we are a community-driven, play-based early childhood program where children are given the time, space and care to grow at their own pace.

Our educators are the facilitators of your child’s learning journey, nurturing curiosity and connection every step of the way. We love the outdoors, we love Atlanta, and we love the community of families that make our school such a special place.

As parents we often find ourselves caught up in the automatic game of panic, trying to give our children the very best of us when we’re with them, while also searching for the best care when we’re not.

At The Nest we invite you to pause that game.

If you are interested in our school we welcome you to come tour, meet our team and experience our community firsthand. If it feels like the right fit for your family we’ll guide you through the next steps. Our waitlists are intentional, and we want to make sure we understand what you were looking for when you decided our sweet school was the right place for your child.

We offer family tours the 3rd Tuesday of Every Month! Join us!

We conduct in-person tours for prospective families on the third Tuesday of the month at 9am. For the sake of flow and space, we ask that you do not bring your children on these tours.

Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year begins in early 2025. After the re-enrollment of in-house families is completed, available spots will be filled from the waitlist. If spaces remain after the waitlist has been exhausted, enrollment applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The Registration Fee ($350) and the first month’s tuition must be paid at the time of registration in order to secure a spot for the upcoming fall. These fees are both nonrefundable. The first day of the 2025-2026 school year will be August 1, 2025, but please be flexible! Dates may change as we try to align with Atlanta Public Schools.

General Admissions Policies

The school year generally runs from the first or second week in August through the next-to-the-last week of July.  Spaces that become available during the school year will be filled from the waitlist.  If no waitlist exists, the school will advertise open spaces through Facebook, newsletters, and on its website. The school will have advance registration for the following school year in the spring of each year.

Currently-enrolled children and their siblings will have first priority for available spots for the following school year. All schedules, fees, and tuition are based on full-day care. The school does not offer a half-day or part-time program.

All families must sign an acknowledgment form, which will outline their responsibilities to the school and the school’s responsibilities to the family.  All admission and enrollment forms must be completed and accounts must be current prior to your child’s first day of attendance and/or the first day of the new school year.

The school retains the right to make decisions regarding enrollment and classroom makeup and placement based on the needs of individual children and/or the larger school community.

Upon enrollment to The Nest Nursery School, it is the responsibility of the family to keep the school informed of any changes in personal information, including but not limited to, phone numbers, email addresses, residential addresses and places of employment.
