Mika Fengler

I’ve been a part of The Nest Nursery School since 2017, starting as a substitute and afternoon teacher before moving through roles as a floater, lead teacher, and atelierista. I now serve as both Assistant Director and atelierista, and feel deeply connected to our Reggio-inspired approach and the many expressive languages of childhood.

Witnessing children’s personalities unfurl is one of the most rewarding parts of this work. I believe each child is capable, curious, and deserving of deep respect. There are many ways we move through the world, and my role is to help guidechildren as they explore the diverse languages it offers – through creative expression, various art mediums, movement, and social-emotional growth.

I hope to be an advocate for the children, families, and educators at our school and to co-create a community based on mutual reciprocity, and a deep respect for our earth and one another.
