Caroline King

Cook/Multiclassroom educator

Caroline has worked in education for 5 years, teaching students from 0-22 years old, and is entering her 3rd year at The Nest! When not teaching at The Nest, she attends school herself as a graduate student focusing on Non-Profit Management at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University.

Caroline was born and raised in and around Atlanta, GA. A passionate musician from a young age (primarily on the flute), she participated in All-State and District bands, jazz bands (adding the saxophone), various music festivals, and performance exchanges in London and China. With a piqued interest in global cultures, she then went to Sweet Briar College, where she double majored in Music and International Politics with a minor in French. There, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, where she attended the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, studying European Politics, and the Schola Cantorum, studying Flute Performance.

Feeling drawn to Education, Caroline went back to France after graduating to teach English and Music at a high-need elementary school. She returned home to Atlanta to work in program management and teach for a local music nonprofit before coming to The Nest.

She is so excited to share her love for music, language, and cuisine with The Nest children!
